Field Fun Friday

Posted on March 4, 2016 by jahaines

Spruce grouseThis striking male spruce grouse was spotted in the boreal forest in the Yukon. In the spring you can hear the sounds of their displays as the males show off for the females at the start of the breeding season. This one was photographed by Jessica Haines while she was working with the Kluane Red Squirrel Project.
