This alert ground squirrel was spotted in Kananaskis, Alberta, while Stan Boutin and Jessica Haines were teaching a field course. This course takes students out of the classroom and into the Rocky Mountains to immerse them in learning about ecology. Post and photo by Jessica Haines.
